There’s no doubting Apple’s marketing is immensely effective, however the constant stream of overzealous rhetoric used by its executives often makes Apple easy targets for lambasting. Take the iPad launch that took place in January for instance and let the parodies begin!

This morning I had the privilege of being asked to appear on a News at Noon segment about DJ Hero’s release (the game came out today in the UK in case you didn’t already know). You can watch the segment below, which originally appeared on today’s News at Noon.
Guy Cocker and I recorded a quick video preview for Fat Princess last week on Start/Select and I thought it was worth sharing here. For those in the dark, FP is basically a team-based RTS game that involves feeding the enemy team’s heir to the throne (locked in your dungeon) so much food that she’s all but impossible to drag off to safety, while staging your own rescue mission. If that makes no sense at all check out the video for all of the gooey goodness.
Everyone loves playing with Lego and Flickr user notenoughbricks has made some pretty sweet mosaics using Lego, including some 8-bit videogame characters such as Mega Man, Mario, Luigi, Zelda, Pac Man, Bub and Bob from Bubble Bobble, and 1 Up mushrooms!
GameStation’s got a pretty sweet offer going for their Deal of the Week at the moment, allowing you to get a Nintendo DSi at half price, 75 quid, when trading in a DS Lite. Considering the RRP on a DS Lite is £99.99 that’s only going to put you out of pocket by £25 on your trade in–I know I’ve certainly got that much value out of mine over the years.
The DS Lite launched back in June 2006, almost three years ago (hard to believe!), and the Nintendo DSi is launching in Europe on April 3rd. Gamestation’s sister company GAME is also doing a similar deal.
